Does microneedling hurt? 

Comfort varies from person to person. For clients who prefer additional comfort during their treatment, topical numbing is available as part of our optional Numbing + Aftercare Kit.

How much downtime should I expect?

Most clients experience redness, warmth or sensitivity following treatment, similar to a mild sunburn. This typically begins to calm within the first 24–48 hours, although every skin responds differently. Your skin may also feel slightly dry or tight as it moves through the renewal process.

When will I see results?

You may begin noticing smoother, more refreshed-looking skin as your skin recovers. Because microneedling works by stimulating your body's natural collagen-remodeling process, improvements develop gradually over the weeks following treatment.

How many microneedling treatments will I need?

Your treatment plan depends on your skin and your goals. A single treatment can be wonderful for overall skin rejuvenation, while a series of three is typically recommended when we're working toward more significant improvement in concerns such as acne scarring, fine lines, enlarged pores or uneven texture.

How often can I have microneedling?

Treatments are generally spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart to allow your skin time to recover and move through its natural renewal process.

Can microneedling help acne scars?

Microneedling can help improve the appearance of certain types of acne scarring by stimulating collagen and supporting remodeling within the skin. During your consultation, we'll evaluate your skin and determine whether microneedling is appropriate for the type and depth of scarring you have.

When can I wear makeup after microneedling?

Your skin needs time to recover following treatment, so you'll receive specific instructions regarding makeup and skincare based on your treatment. Following your aftercare instructions is an important part of protecting the skin while it heals.

What skincare should I avoid before and after microneedling?

Certain active ingredients including retinoids and exfoliating acids may need to be temporarily discontinued before and after treatment. You'll receive personalized pre- and post-treatment instructions so you know exactly what to use and when to resume your normal skincare routine.

Who should not receive microneedling?

Microneedling isn't appropriate for every skin condition or every client. Certain medications, active skin infections, active inflammatory acne, a history of abnormal scarring and some medical conditions may affect whether you're a candidate. This is why Newbeauty requires a consultation before establishing a microneedling treatment plan.
